Technological convergence and the interactivity in television

This text contextualizes the technological convergence and the appearance and evolution of interactivity in television. In an introductory way, it presents the most pertinent technologies to understand interactivity in this new context, where digitalization brings resources and tools that can completely change the way of watching and making TV. The article discusses the technological convergence and its relation with digital TV, being the latter the consequence of the former. The text introduces the components of digital TV and interactivity, and defines the applications and services.
