STUDY OF ALLERGENS IN PEDIATRIC ALLERGY

Background: The management of diagnosis in allergy requires a good history andexamination, along the allergy tests, like the specific IgE measurement, an important support indemonstrating both the existence and severity of the allergy. The main objective of this paper wasthe study of the relevant factors that develop asthma prevailing in Sibiu, and specific IgEevaluation, an in vitro test with high sensitivity. Materials and methods: The present prospectivestudy was conducted among patients with allergic condition. A detailed general examination wascompleted by testing specific serum IgE levels using a mixed panel of 36 allergens CLIAtechnology. Results: Through the food allergens, specific IgE was most frequently found against,cow’s milk, egg white, and nuts, and among the aero allergens against dust mite, grass mix,Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, and Aspergillus fumigatus. Conclusions: Identification of theallergens and the allergies triggers are important in prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.
