摘要

Objectives: The aim of this in vitro study wasto evaluate effect of three different caries detectingdyes on shear bond strength of a self etch adhesiveto caries affected dentin.Materials and Methods: 60 extracted humanthird molars which are affected by caries used inthis study. Occlusal surfaces removed to obtain flatdentinal surfaces and teeth mounted acrylic.Specimens were divided into four groups of 15 tobe tested three different caries detecting dyes. Firstgroup is control and others Caries Detector,Quadrant Cari Test, Sable Seek groups. In controlgroup decayed dentine tissues remowed with siliconcarbite papers (300 gride) and in others groupscaries detectors applied and carious dentine tissuesremowed with silicon carbite papers. Than dentinbonding systems Clearfil SE Bond applied andspecimens restorated with composite resin. Allproducts were used according to manufacturer’sinstructions. Bond strengths were tested and datawere statistically analyzed one-way Analysis ofVariance (ANOVA) and Tukey tests.Results: As results of this study, Quadrant CariTest group showed lower bond strength than otherdetecting dyes groups. While bond strengths ofCaries Detector and Sable Seek groups weresimilar, their bond strengths were significantlyhigher than Quadrant Cari Test group (p<0,05).Conclusions: According to the results of this invitro study caries detecting dyes may lead toincreased shear bond strength values obtained.derecede daha yüksek ba?lanma dayan?m? g?sterdi.
