Skin Colour Information and Morphology Based Face Detection Technique

摘要

Locating and tracking human faces is a prerequisite for face recognition and/or facialexpressions analysis, although it is often assumed that a normalized face image is available. Inthis paper, we propose a faster, yet efficient face detection approach based on mathematicalmorphology and skin colour information. We have devised some simple post-processing rules toeliminate non-face regions from face regions. Experimentation on our created database isconducted to reveal the performance of the proposed approach.
