The Navy has long had a requirement for units to share information at great distances to collaborateon mission essential tasks. Whether called wikis, portals or collaboration sites, these tools allow largegroups to share information in near real-time. For the sake of simplicity, these types of sites will bereferred to as wikis for the remainder of this article.
