Outreach Programs Provide Focus for Preparing the Cyber/IT Workforce

To improve the knowledge base and skill level of the future Cyber/Information Technology (IT)Workforce, the Department of the Navy (DON) has numerous educational and outreach activitieswith academic institutions, other civilian agencies and industrial partners.These outreach programsare important not only to our cyber warfighting commands, but also to DON large acquisitioncommands, which employ hundreds of scientists and engineers who must be attuned to design,development and fielding of secure IT systems and applications.
