摘要

The objective of this study was to simulate phase separation process of a fluid using Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) with Shan and Chen Single Component Multiphase (SCMP) model. For this purpose an inter-particle force was introduced as suggested by the SCMP model and hence the local momentum conservation was abandoned. When the value of interaction strength G was decreased below a critical value, phase transition took place. Initial density was selected such that phase separation process resulted into a single liquid drop in the vapor atmosphere. As suggested by Laplace Law, plot of ?P and 1/r for a series of liquid drops has been found to be a straight line and slop of the line gives surface tension parameter to be 14.419 lu mu/ts2.
