ThenatureofthelogVvs.tplot,representingtherateofsolutionofdolomiteconsistingofanumberofcrystals,hasbeenanalysedtheoretically.Theplotmaybeconcaveeitherupwardsordownwards,dependingonthesizedistributionofthecrystals.Nevertheless,thedeviationsfromlinearity,duringthetimerequiredtodissolveabout50percentofthesmallestcrystal,arealwayswithinlimits.Theselimitsarecalculatedandtheirsignificanceinrelationtothelineofbestfitisdiscussed.
