Lean Kaizen:empowering the team in interesting times

This article will consider my personal experience of Lean Kaizen at the University of Aberdeen and why I think it provides a useful tool for empowering the team in what 1 think we can all agree are “interesting times.I do not aim to give a detailed description of the Lean Kaizen methodology (there are many people better qualifiedto do this than me but an introduction to some of the principles as they were explained to me during ourKaizen Blitz and how we used them. There are few references in this article but 1am indebted to Pat Browneof Exceed (EXD Ltd) who facilitated our Kaizen Blitz and provided that explanation.
