摘要

It deals with some theoretical issues that were important to the development of a scientific initiation research, whose main objective was the development of a guide for the search for information, in the electronic medium, about the school library. These issues relate to the importance of knowledge of information sources, especially the electronic, the relevance of the library in school and social context, the presence of the subject in the Brazilian scientific literature, among others.
