This paper aims to investigate the effect of volcanic scoria (VS) when added at micro or Received 17 June 2019 nano level on some concrete properties. Syria is rich in volcanic scoria with estimated Received in revised form 8 October 2019 reserves of nearly 1 billion tonnes. Three concrete properties, namely compressive Accepted 14 October 2019 strength, porosity and sulfate resistance, have been examined.
