The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at Saint Mary’sUniversity invites applications for a contractually limited nine-monthappointment in Classics at the rank of Assistant Professor. We areseeking candidates with a specialization in the field of Roman historyand archaeology with a demonstrated record of effectiveness inuniversity teaching who will support courses from introductory throughto senior levels of the program. Applicants must hold a PhD inClassics, Classical Archaeology, Art History, or Ancient History.Alongside a full-time teaching assignment, the successful candidatewill be expected to advise students, and participate actively in theintellectual life of the department.
