President David Inouye, President Elect Monica Turner, and McCarter, along with representatives of AIBS, met byphone with Liz Blood, John Wingfield, and others at NSF. The conference call, arranged by NSF, was to discuss theneed to involve and inform the ecological community about NEON science. Several possible strategies werediscussed. NSF will confer with their management team and will be continuing to discuss actions with our twoorganizations.
