A comparison of two methods of requesting reprints in the behavioral sciences: Request-A-Print and the traditional letter.

ALTHOUGH REPRINTS are perhaps less frequently solicited directly from authors than was formerly the case, smaller libraries and individuals without easy access to the more specialized journals still use this method of obtaining information. This study compared the efficiency of the personal letter and a completed preprinted form postcard, the "Request-A-Print?" (RAP) card, for the purpose of obtaining reprints of articles published mainly in behavioral sciences journals.
