MINUTES OF THE TWENTY-FIRST ANNUAL MEETING HELD AT WASHINGTON, MAY 20-22, 1920

Ihe Txwenty-first Annual Meetin, of the Medical Library Associationi was called to order in the Library of the Surgeoni General's office by the Presidlenit, Lieut. Col. F. H. Garrison, at 2P. M. The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as printed in the October, 1919, number of the Bulletin. The address of welcome was made by Major General Merritte WV. Ireland, Surgeon General, United States Army. Dr. Edward C. Streeter, of Boston, read a paper entitled "Physicians' libraries in the middle ages." Dr. Caswell A. Mayo, of Cincinnati, was unable to be present and his paper "Standardization in size of medical periodicals and reprints," was read by title. Dr. John Ruhrah, of Baltimore, read a paper on "The bibliography of pediatrics." This was discussed by Col. Garrison, Miss Trask, Mr. Place and Dr. Ruhrah. The next paper wvas by Dr. Albert Allemann, of Washington, on "The Library of the Paris Medical Faculty." The report of the Secretary was read by Dr. Ruhrah, and also the report of the Treasurer and Editors of the Bulletin. Dr. Ruhrah then spoke on the necessity of increasing our membership or in some other way adding to our income. Miss Noyes read her report as Manager of the Exchange, speaking specially of the Jacobi gift, how splendid it has been for the members, but of the great expense it had been to the Association. Col. Garrison suggested that the Association might be able to get help fronm the Rockefeller Foundation. Col. Garrison appointed Dr. Streeter and Mr. C. Perry Fisher as auditing committee to go over the Treasurer's books.
