REPRINTS. How To Increase Their Value

One of the unique customs of our profession in this country is the sending out of reprints. Not onlly do we give hours of valuable time to free dispensary work, but we spend long houirs burnin]g the midnight oil doing literary work for which we receive no compensation, and in addition we pay for reprints alid the cost of addressingand mailing them. Many are sent indiscriminately to men who do not care for them, and- a large proportion of thenm find a sudden and untimely end, together with mining schemes and drug ads in the handy and capacious waste basket. It is not because the reprint is not good, but because that particular reprint has not fallen into the hands of the man especially interested.
