Investigative Methods in Library and Information Science: An Introduction

The only formal introduction to research methods for most librarians occurs in one three-hour methods course in library school. Unfortunately, library school students, especially those not required to write a thesis, do not perceive research as being relevant to their immediate needs, and what is learned is soon forgotten.
