Climate Suitability of R?te?ti-Beltiug Viticulture Area to Cultivate Varieties of Grapes for Red Wines

To describe a viticulture climate area, are used climatic parameters, which show the binary and ternary interaction between eco-climatic conditions, light, temperature and humidity (Pop, 2003; Mursa, 2009). The researches which refer to eco-climatic conditions, favorable for growing of grape varieties for red wines presented in this study were effectuated in the R?te?ti-Beltiug Viticulture Area, Silvania Vineyard. The values of temperatures sum and the binary and ternary indices obtain are show in Table 1. Heliothermic index fits in the specific limits of the Romanian vineyards (1.35-2.70), to upper limit, which indicate favorability for growing of red grape varieties in the viticulture area mentioned before. The oenoclimatic index (4362.4) confirms a middle favorability for grape varieties for red wines. The values of the heliothermic and oenoclimatic indices obtain in the Silvaniei Vineyard could be used to recommand to expand the areas cultivated with red grape varieties also in the North – West of Transylvania.
