Crops may have problems absorbing phosphorus in soils since much of this element is found as non-available fractions This research was aimed at evaluating the influence of the different bacterial and fungal strains on soil phosphorus fractions and their absorption by coffee seedlings in Palmira, Colombia. The treatments were established under three types of plant substrates: a) soil + decomposed coffee pulp (1:1) in the presence or absence of the strains; b) soil + decomposed coffee pulp (1:1) + phosphate rock with or without microorganisms; and c) soil subjected to fertilization with diammonium phosphate, DAP (absolute control). A completely randomized design was used with 23 treatments and 10 repetitions. It was found that the application of decomposed coffee pulp and microorganisms favored the availability of phosphorus and some nutrients useful for the growth of coffee seedlings which showed good correlation between leaf P and soil available P. In all phosphorus fractions, the content of inorganic phosphorus (Pi) was higher than those of organic phosphorus (Po), with overall prevalence of the inoculated treatments with the different microbial interactions.
