Proposta de implanta??o de uma Reserva Particular do Patrim?nio Natural na localidade de Manguinhos, no município de S?o Francisco do Itabapoana/RJ, com ênfase em educa??o ambiental

This article aims to propose actions with emphasis on Environmental Education to support the deployment of a Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) in a forest fragment in Manguinhos, S?o Francisco do Itabapoana/RJ, in which negatives impacts of prolonged and intensive human interventions have been observed. The methodology of this study has a qualitative character, and is guided by literature review, observation to obtain information on the theme, and semi-structured interviews to verify the perception of the surrounding community about the creation of a RPPN in the locality. The analysis of the profile of the respondents, and their perception about the conservation area and local environmental issues guided the strategies proposition, as well as practical activities to promote environmental education based on the ProNEA principles, in order to make the RPPN a suitable area for the practice and demand of socially just and environmentally sustainable spaces.
