IET elects first Middle East based female Fellow

The first Middle East based female electrical engineer has been elected as a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). A Bahraini citizen, Mariam Jumaam (pictured) is director of public sector reform for the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and has been a driving force behind a number of utility projects in the Kingdom, including the country's major 220kV and 66kV transmission line developments.
