Reliable power supplies for a world class research facility

A state-of-the-art research centre is currently being built in Hamburg, Germany. When work is finished in 2016, the European XFEL will generate ultra short X-ray flashes in a 3.4km tunnel, opening up completely new research opportunities for scientists around the world. Among the key components to be installed in this new facility are equipment power supply units and redundancy balance modules, the reliability of which will determine the facility's ability to meet demanding experimentation programmes.
