In the last issue of the DTJ, I wrote about the economic difficulties expected for 2009. The economy remains weak, and even with the massive stimulus bill, the economic future is uncertain. The demands for goods and services have declined. Industry is responding by laying-off employees, reducing capacity, and restructuring. The impact is reflected across the transportation and logistics industry. During these challenging times, I am often asked, "Why should our company be a corporate member of NDTA?"
