Future Challenges of the Bundeswehr Medical Service in International Crisis Management and in National/Collective Defence

The Bundeswehr is currently involved in altogether 18 missions worldwide. If additional standby commitments are taken into account, more than 5,000 German soldiers are continuously serving in areas with very different operational demands and threat situations.
