GENERAL ATOMICS AWARDED CONTRACT TO SUPPORT MARINE CORPS MQ-9 OPERATIONS

POWAY, Calif. -- General Atomics was awarded an $11.2 million contract from the U.S. Navy for Group 5 Unmanned Air System (UAS) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance support for outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS) Task Force Southwest and Marine Corps operations using contractor-owned/contractoroperated MQ-9 Reaper UAS. The award is a firm-fixed-price modification (P00012) to previously awarded contract N00019-18-C-1063. Work will be performed in Yuma, Arizona (45%); various locations OCONUS (40%); and Poway, California (15%), and is expected to be completed in May 2021. Fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $11.2 million will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
