The Third Front: Game Equation and Stakes Whom among us, in the rueful days following September 11, would have had the gall, the unmitigated audacity to predict that the perpetrators of one of the most heinous acts of mass murder in modern history would simply relocate a few hundred kilometres East to (re)establish an ever-more enduring, practically untouchable safe haven from whence they would be left to re-constitute and re-engage the 'Crusader' armies from within a state that for all intents and purposes was a long standing, nominally democratic Western ally? (Pakistan has been a military state for around half its existence).
