Israel's Military Options, Challenges and Constraints in an Attack on Iran

A nuclear arsenal in the hands of Iran carries with it many risks to other states. It might be impossible to prevent a state from possessing a nuclear bomb but Syria gave it up after her nuclear reactor was destroyed in 2007. There is a debate in Israel if and when to bomb Iran. Obstructing Iran's plans to produce nuclear weapons could be done in several military ways such as cyber warfare. Yet it seems that only a direct action has a chance of delivering a substantial blow to the nuclear program even if it does not annihilate it entirely.
