Navies have turned to Lloyd's Register to help with the design, build and maintenance of future fleets. Applying Class Rules and experience to the demands put upon a fighting ship was never going to be a simple process.rnLloyd's Register has responded with 'Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Naval Ships'.rnThe aim was to deliver - for naval, military and auxiliary ships - a process that would begin at the conceptual design stage of a new build project and extend to design approvals, classification rules and other prescribed requirements, such as safety, pollution and, increasingly now, issues related to sustainability.
