摘要

There are now consistent calls across the MoD for more e-learning, driven in many cases by the perception that e-learning can save money. This is a laudable aim in the current climate, but for me the greater motivation is to improve students' learning, to improve access to learning and to better meet students' expectations. Unfortunately, achieving these benefits can often require the currently unpopular strategy of 'spend to save'.
