During the briefing, DIO acting Chief Executive Andrew Manley made a point of highlighting the new MoD office complex at Corsham in Wiltshire as an example of the kind of best development and facilities management practice the DIO will be aspiring to. The facility houses the Global Operations Security Control Centre, as well as DE&S' Information Systems and Services (ISS) Operating Centre. Its sophisticated IT and telecommunications equipment, Manley said, had been delivered "to budget, and on time", while the quality of the facility was a first rate example of what could be achieved.
