Oil is not lost

Mobilising and powering fleets of military vehicles requires, unsurprisingly, vast quantities of fuel that must be handled and transported quickly, efficiently and (most importantly) safely. Not only can the volatile substances in military-grade fuel be triggered when not handled properly, but spillage or leakage can have disastrous consequences for vehicles in operation, and for the environment. Following high-profile oil spills in recent years, the MoD must ensure that its service personnel are trained and equipped to deal with both safe transportation of fuels and what to do should a leakage occur.
