At a packed press conference at CE Week, Head Monster Noel Lee talked up mobile audio, expanding Monster's headphone lines, and how the company will further distinguish itself in the smartphone and tablet markets. To expand its market share, Monster will create products that appeal to what Lee defines as the three major consumer segments: small spenders, or those who spend less than $1,000 a year on CE; medium spenders, who buy between $1,000 and $2,000 a year; and large spenders, who spend more than $2,000. Lee's presentation, though, focused mainly on new products. He introduced two new color combinations-silver on neon green and yellow on neon orange- to the DNA ($229.95) on-ear headphone line. In-ear DNAs are priced at $129.95. The cost-effective N-Credible N-Tune collection ($159.95) will feature new "candy color" models, including green, red, blue, purple and tangerine. Those colors will also be introduced to Monster's N-Ergy in-ear headphones line ($69.95,) and the N-Pulse over-ear style cans ($199.95).
