GE BRINGS TIDE PODS CONVENIENCE TO HIGH-EFFICIENCY WASHERS

GE Appliances, a Haier company, has recently launched what it says is the first Tide PODS Dispense functionality in top-load, high-efficiency washers. Dubbed Tide PODS Dispense, a specially designed dispenser drawer accommodates the liquid laundry pacs, and a dedicated water jet punctures them; then, a shower dissolves the detergent to optimize their cleaning power, while remaining gentle on clothes, says the company. The GE 4.8-cu.-ft.-capacity washer with Tide PODS Dispense and GE 4.6-cu.-ft.-capacity washer with Tide PODS Dispense with a dual-action agitator come in Diamond Gray and White and start at a suggested retail price of $849. The 4.8-cu-ft. units use a low-profile infusor instead of a traditional agitator, which means more room for large loads and bulky items, says the company.
