Protecting a network means blanketing it with an array of security features. The trouble is that net managers often have to settle for a crazy quilt of authentication, access control, encryption, and management products from a host of different vendors. Cylink Corp. (Sunnyvale, Calif.) is offering three products that could put net managers on the road to seamless security. The Securegate Server, Securetraveller software, and Securepocket Traveller are all based on the vendor's Secure Enterprise Architecture (SEA) stack. SEA is a suite of modular software programs for integrating a variety of security fea- tures, from encryption devices and certificates to directory services and management. What's more, Cylink's approach is the first to use standard X.509 technology for putting these elements together.
