Første forekomst af Ringnæbbet Måge Larus delawarensis i Danmark

The first Danish Ring-billed Gull Larus delawarensis stayed in southern Jutland during the period 15 May -14 June 1999. It was in adult plumage, although the fact that only the outermost primary had a (minor) subterminal spot may possibly have indicated that the bird was relatively young. From the pattern of Ring-billed Gull occurrence in Europe, and ringing data, it is suggested that the East Atlantic seaboard constitutes a regular wintering area for some Ring-billed Gulls in eastern North America.
