Wralk into the head offices of Che Isigny Sainte Mere co-operative and you are struck by a wall full of certificates from the French Concours Agricole Generale awards. Over the years the company has amassed a huge range of awards for its cheese butterand cream products. The latest additions to the collection include Supreme Champion Best Overseas Cheese and Best French Cheese from this year s World Cheese Awards in London. "It's been a very good year for us says export sales director Marc Chiron. But winning awards and running a successful business are two very different things. Isigny s products may be very traditional and of high quality but there are signs throughout its history that show it strives to be a very modern co-operative.
