The genesis of The Dairy House co-operative was in October 2001. We had these big discus-sion meetings, with around 20 organic dairy farmers in Herefordshire, about getting more control over what's happening to our milk. By December 2002, we were down to four farmers - Tony Norman, myself.Bob Mason and Robin Taylor. We then formed the co-operative as an extension to our milk pro-duction. However, it was difficult to get started. In order to produce new products, we had to form new partnerships. Enter Pru Lloyd, who had a small dairy in Herefordshire. She had been running her business for 25 years, doing some of product development, and making drinking yogurts as well as cheese, cream and cheesecakes.
