Stainzer Milch is a dairy situated south west of Graz, Austria. The company resulted from a merger of two dairy cooperative societies in 1991 - the dairy cooperative in Stainz (established in 1928) and another in Leibnitz/Mureck. The cooperative is wholly owned by about 900 dairy farmers, and every day approximately 78,000 litres of milk are collected from the region and delivered to Stainz for processing. At the site, around 55 employees process products for about 10-12 per cent of the total Austrian market.
