Kerrygold is one of the UK's best-known dairy brands. Alongside its butter brand, Irish Dairy Board-owned Kerrygold Company also cuts and packs cheese for major food retailers throughout the country. Packaging is an important part of what the firm does. The company was the first to launch convenience cheese (sliced and grated) to the UK market and was recently the first packaging supplier to introduce reseal-able packaging for block cheese in retailer own label products.rnThe company has reduced the weight of its packaging by 1.8 grams per pack for 10 per cent of its packs.
