Tunisia-based food company, Delice Group has announced its plans to invest €14.7m to build a dairy plant in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia. According to the company, the plant is expected to have a production capacity of 400,000 litres per day. It will cover ten hectares and opening is scheduled for early 2013. Australian milk production figures for March 2011 show that deliveries increased by 0.7% compared to the previous year, to 642 million litres. Fluid milk production is expected to increase to 9.6 million metric tonnes, which is said to be the first increase in fluid milk supply since 2001, according to the US Department of Agriculture.
