Slicing cheeses with plenty of fire in their flavouring are what the German consumer increasingly chooses for the shopping basket. Black or green pepper, cayenne and chilli, are examples to be found in the ranges of most leading brands and own-label cheeses. Bauer of Germany has launched two new spicy slicing products: a cherry tomato/chilli version and a paprika/chilli cheese. The former is a full fat (55%) product.
