Expansion for Trepko

Trepko, a Denmark-based firm, has been filling packages for years, according to Alex Carter, UK site director for the company. However, as it continues to serve the dairy and food markets, expansion is heading up and down the packaging line. "We are now offering a new concept, a four-pack yogurt pot made from quick forming plastic, along with mini-portions of butter. Our core is dairy," he notes. At two manufacturing sites, one in Poland and one in Gainsborough, UK, the company focuses on making filling machines for products such as yellow fats, as well as yogurts and desserts. The Polish facility also builds machines that wrap butter in bricks. In 2008, the company bought Meco Pak in Sweden, thus expanding its reach along the line to packing wrapped products into end of line boxes.
