Buoyed by an increase in the number of companies manufacturing artisanal ice cream flavours during the past few years, the Philippines ice cream market has entered a new wave of growth. Cool Spot Dairy Foods, one of the Philippines' longest established ice cream manufacturers, is the latest company to enter the artisanal ice cream sector and has recently opened its first retail ice cream parlour. The company specialises in supplying ice cream in large catering packs under the Big Scoop brand to the country's food services industry. It is launching a new brand and range of flavours to enter the artisanal ice cream market, which its food service clients may also take if the new product line proves to be a success.
