Q. What in your background prepared you for your current role as vice chairman? I can't really think of anything which specifically prepares someone for a role like this. I was voted into it by the main International Cheese Awards committee and just got on with it. I guess having been working in the dairy industry since 1978 (38 years and still standing!) has made it a lot easier. The role has developed enormously during my tenure. All the hard work by everyone involved has established the International Cheese Awards as the largest cheese competition in the world and we eagerly await the final entry numbers for 2016. We are expecting another hugely successful year.
