Reinventing the wheel

As a small-scale ice cream factory, Tetra Pak's product development centre (PDC) in Aarhus, Denmark holds an abundance of raw material ingredients as well as advanced technology, which enables freezing, extrusion and moulding tests with customers to be conducted with ease. During the course of a recent visit, Peter Lindstrom, head of ice cream at Tetra Pak, along with colleagues Elsebeth Baungaard, product and concept manager of ice cream extrusion, and PerHenrick Hansen, innovation manager of ice cream, performed live product trials using a fully-functioning extrusion wheel set up in the centre.
