ESTIMATE OF THE ACTIVITY OF ZONES OF NUCLEOLUS ORGANIZERS OF THE LYMPHOID CELLS OF HUMAN LYMPH NODES IN THE NORM

A complex approach to estimating the activity of nucleolar organizers using data on lymph nodes of 87 individuals in the norm is presented. On the basis of an investigation of features of the distribution and magnitude of argentophilic granules in 7387 prolymphocyte nuclei it is shown that the basic morpho-functional types of nucleoli as well as different subtypes of nucleolonema-type nucleoli may be visualized at the light microscope level. A characterization of the distribution of argentophilic granules of extra-nucleolar localization is given. The set of parameters of the nucleolus apparatus of lymphoid cells proposed in the study may be used as a control in the investigation of different lymphoproliferative processes.
