SFC proposes to enhance sponsors' regulatory regime

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has published proposals to enhance the regulatory regime of sponsors in Hong Kong. The SFC issued a report in March 2011 highlighting many deficiencies in the work of sponsors in the listing process, and it hopes the new proposals will raise standards and encourage best practice across all sponsor firms in Hong Kong.
