摘要

With the advancement of technology where more and more information is being transferred across the network, various methods need to be adopted to preserve the secrecy of the message. This paper presents a novel algorithm for hiding text message(s) inside an image. This algorithm makes use of the Huffman code and of the keyword based encryption techniques. The procedure begins with the transformation of the text message(s) into just a random set of words using keyword based encryption technique making the meaning of information less obvious. A standard lookup table is made which would be unique and its encryption within the image along with the secret message would not be needed. The keyword and the text message(s) is then transformed into binary form using the standard lookup table which is later encrypted into the image. This technique would enhance the security of the hidden information unlike existing algorithms as the need to embed the lookup table has been eliminated.
