Dairy Unit & Aerobic Dairy Waste Treatment Plant: AJ & RG Barber Ltd. Maryland Farm Enterprises, Ditcheat, BA4 6PR The Wessex Branch had the privilege of visiting some of new initiatives of this foresighted family business by kind invitation of Mr. Chris Barber on 14 April 2010 with some 36 members & guests attending. The gathering started well - with an excellent lunch at the Manor House Inn, Ditcheat! This is an extensive farm enterprise with several dairy units; totalling 2400 cows supplying the Maryland cheese, butter & yoghurt plant. The added value product thus bypassing the feeble marketing of UK milk.
