First Cost Engineering Symposium And Members Meet Conducted In The Middle East

June 1-2 were memorable action packed days for the project controls and cost engineering communities of the Middle East region. The first ever symposium on project control was conducted at the Gulf Meridian in the vibrant city of Al-Khobar. Strategically located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, some of the regions largest oil and gas projects are controlled from here. Jubail, an industrial city which may get the label of world's largest industrial city within a decade, also falls in this region. The AACE International Arabian Gulf Section's location choice for this historic event was also very good.. The symposium, a "dream project" of the Arabian Gulf Section, became a reality and an unquestionable success with participation of more than 170 delegates representing different sections of project management areas like project controls, estimating, claims management etc. Key decision makers of the region added real knowledge sharing value to the event. The theme of the symposium was, "Process Improvement in Project Management."
